Upper Arm Lift    Upper Arm Lift (Brachioplasty) is a cosmetic procedure which removes excess skin from the upper arms. Patients may select this procedure if they experience skin which lacks elasticity of the upper arms due to normal signs of aging, family genetics, or excessive weight loss. The Procedure Brachioplasty is usually performed under general anesthesia. A small incision is made close to the elbow and follows on to the armpit. Following the procedure, the area is wrapped or more commonly placed in an elastic sleeve to aid in the reduction of excessive swelling. Signs of healing most commonly seen between 10-18 days following the surgery. Before and After Another elective & enhancing procedure that will intensify the results of Brachioplasty is Liposuction of the area first & followed by the Upper Arm Lift. This procedure is considered cosmetic/elective and because of this is not commonly covered by insurance.
