Breast Lift

If you look at your breasts and wish that they were firmer, higher, and looked more youthful, then a breast lift may be your answer. Although it can be performed at any time, it is best to wait until the development has stopped. Once growth has stopped and your breasts still look pendulous, lack firmness, and you have nipples pointing downwards. Then you need to consider a breast lift to get that youthful look you desire.

The Procedure
Three incisions are made following the breasts natural contour defining the area of excision and the new location of the nipple and areola. Skin in the shaded area is removed and the nipple and areola are moved to a higher position. Skin formerly found above the areola is brought down and together to reshape the breast. Afterwards are the breasts are higher and firmer, with temporary stitches located around the areola, below it, and in the crease under the breast.

Before and After
The first week after surgery, surgical drains are removed, dressings are changed and non-strenuous work can be resumed. After two weeks, bruising, swelling, and discomfort diminish; a support bra is no longer needed; sensation in the nipple and areola improve gradually; and normal activity and mild exercise can resume. After a few months your breasts settle into a more natural shape; incision lines begin to fade and back, neck, and shoulder pain is relieved.
